Playgroup Leader - Megan Bonnington

I'm Megan Bonnington. I joined playgroup as a play assistant in January 2022 and progressed to play leader in July 2022. I joined playgroup on my return from maternity.

I really enjoy working at playgroup, meeting new children and finding out their interests, and building a relationship based on that. I enjoy the creative side of things and I enjoy creating great learning opportunities through play.

Coming up with new art and messy play projects for the children.

I enjoy all things arty from scrapbooking, sewing, crocheting, painting, and children's craft with my own son. I'm a very active person and enjoy bike rides and dog walks.

Before playgroup I worked with children and adults with additional needs for 12 years. I managed a support service in the community for the latter 6 years. Through this, there were many learning opportunities such as;  first aid, food hygiene, epilepsy training, and hands-on experience with lots of different people and personalities. And learning that my style of support would change for each individual.

I have my svq 3 in social care and health, I have a HNC in child health and social care, and further college qualifications in autism, challenging behaviour and mental health.

Playgroup Assistant - Susan Chatham 

I have been helping with playgroup since May 2022. I have been working in nurseries for over 20 years and enjoy working with children in the early years. When I’m not at playgroup I’m looking after my grandsons, walking my dog, and gardening.

Playgroup Assistant - Laura Hall

Hey, I'm Laura Hall.

After a break in work to have my son in 2021, I have joined Playgroup as a play assistant from October 2023.

I have an SVQ3 in Social Services for children and young people and 4 years experience of working in a nursery - where I was a practitioner caring for 0-3 year olds.

I love working with children and watching them grow and learn. I especially enjoy the creative side of play, making crafts and getting messy!

In my personal time I enjoy walks, play park trips with my son and going for coffee.

I'm looking forward to getting to know all the children and parents.
